About
Sundaraananda siddhar was born on Aavani month of Tamil (August),in the birth star of "Revathy",in the "Agamudayar community".He had the power of remaining in yoga for several years and could do extraordinary miracles.He got the Linga,which had been worshiped by Siddhar "Agasthiyar",and made it holy-erected at Sathuragiri hills,which is situated in the western ghats,Thaanipaarai.His guru was siddhar "Sattai Muni".It is said in the Sathuragiri's "Thala puraanam",means the history of the residing place.

His Miracles - Happened at madurai
In those days,king "Abisega pandyan" had ruled Madurai. siddhar Sundaraanandar had been to Madurai,and did many extraordinary miracles at streets,Chirakoodam (the place for arts and culture),business places,upparigai (the portico of the palaces) etc.
He was capable of doing extraordinary miracles like disappearing,transformation of male into female and female into male,curing the disabled persons,changing the ordinary metals into pure gold (in siddha's language-called as Rasavaatham) etc.
On hearing this,the king invited the siddhar to his palace.But,the siddhar Sundrraanandar refused to do so.He asked the king to meet him.The king had been very eager to see him,and came to see the siddhar in his place.The king wanted to test the siddhar,whether he was genuine or not.
That time a man was coming with sugarcane.On seeing this,the king asked the man to give the sugarcane to the siddhar,and said to Sundaraanandar that he only would admit the siddhar "as a siddhar",only if Sundaraanandar made the sculpture of an elephant to eat the sugarcane. The siddhar accepted the king's challenge.
He went near the sculpture-elephant,and ordered to eat the sugarcane.What a surprise! A miracle had happened there.The elephant raised it's trunk and took it from the hands of the siddhar and swallowed the sugarcane.
The king,at once,laid down to the feet of the siddhar and begged for his apologies. When the king,got up and saw the elephant transformed into it's real status.The siddhar Sundaraanandar also disappeared by slowly moving towards the temple.

Now Vallaba Siddhar alias Sundaraananda siddhar has been at Meenakshi Amman Temple - Madurai - as "Jeeva Samaathi"
In Madurai Sri Meenakshi Amman temple,near the shrine of Goddess Sri Durga,there is another shrine for the siddhar Sundaraanandar. Here he is called as simply Siddhar (also called Vallaba siddhar).
He is well known for his extraordinary miracles,now also it continues...
A lot of people,visit the Meenakshi Amman Temple,for worshiping the siddhar,come continuously for 48 days and can get his blessing of what they want from him.
